Hello Paula & John ( hopefully- At Some point) The DJ is Booked for 27th June!!
Training today with Paula was tough but an essential part of the learning process ie "learning how to suffer." Although shorter than last weeks 17miles it was the 1st checkpoint at Harting Down & up that monster of a Hill the other side. Paula- You have also seen where you may need to wear something for your shoulders, the issues with blisters & where you need to moisturise to help with the chafing! I am 75% certain we have Paul Coates and Ryan Matthews on board now so I will try to send them both a link to start reading this board. If you read this soon Ryan/Paul then welcome aboard. Training this week so far for me since I went out with Paula last week is as follows: Last thurs23rd- About 12 miles cycling 24th-26th Relaxation and cleaning windows.
Mon 27th- Circuit at work. 28th Circuit at work. 29th- circuit at work. 30th- 12.5 mile very hilly run with Paula. My intention is to have an easy day with the kids tomorrow and saturday and do another fairly tough sesion on sunday so if anyone is interested phone or txt on 07939043128. John should have both the posters and tickets sorted by now so i'll let you know when i have them.

HILLS!!
First day training since last week after a couple of days out in Magaluf...
Went for a run with Mark today (12-13 miles) across the first part of the course. OMG!! It was one of the hardest runs I have ever done! I am used to runing on the flat so this was a real shock to the system but at least I know what I am letting myself in for now.
Feet are in bits as I need to have my new trainners tweaked to fit better but otherwise hip holding out and could be worse!

Hello! (Dizzymoo = Paula!)
Hi
I'm another techno -phobe so bare with me, I am still learning about the blog etc..
Only started training recently as was having a confidence crisis. Had done a few small runs but this is my last 4 training sessions:
Tue
11.5 miles (I think) up the old railway track
Thur
12 plus (I think) up the old railway track
Sun
10 miles (plus a 3 mile walk/slow jog with my friend straight after) up the old railway track
Tue
17 miles across the South downs (walk/run) with Mark
Am suffering at the moment as I have bursitis in my hip (which I am hoping an injection can sort out in May) and awful blisters because of poor fitting trainers - I am just pushing through it at the moment.
I think having to write my training down here will shame me into training...
Back soon...

As I carry on writing to myself I am hoping that both Paula and John will eventually get on this site and read/post something. will populate this with a few photos and maybe even get that link with the "Just Giving" website so people can donate online. When you both log in you are alowed to post stuff back to me with any relevant information. My question to John is: What training have you been doing? If you aren't training as well as you need to be i'm going to have to post a photocopy of te picture of Rose, Bob and myself crossing the finish line in 2005!!.
Today Paula and myself began a run/walk from Exton to Old Winchester Hill & beyond. Confidence seems to have been an issue but it should not be any longer. The speed was impressive & the stamina showed at this stage exceptional-Paula you have NO problems provided you look after your feet and hips and stretch out after every session!! The mileage for just today was 17miles and we ended up carrying on all the way to the start of the Gurkha Challenge at Queen Elizabeth Country Park. Although we walked for a short while it was probably less than 2 miles and we completed the 17 miles in 3 hours. That includes Butser Hill! I shall try to go for a sub 5 mile recovery run tomorrow at a very easy pace as Rose has asked me to go out so we'll see.
Get out there and do it! Regards - Mark

Training This week 13/4-19/4
Monday 13th- Bank Holiday so we had bank holiday rules tennis at work. It's not really training but it's good fun.
Tuesday 14th- As i recall this was when me, John, Matty (johns nipper) and Steve Lowes went cycling for a couple of hours up Queen Elizabeth Country Park. I've never done mountain biking before and it was a bit scary. I ONLY fell off 3 times but at least i didn't get off and walk up the hills like Lowesy did!
Weds 15th- 9 mile run with the dog. Tilly must be the fittest dog in Wickham as she seems to do twice as much as me as she chases Rabbits and squirrels and goes generally off the beaten track.
Thurs 16th- Nothing
Friday 17th- About 12 miles with John. This was a good session as we Parked up near The Hurdles pub and got on to the Railway line. We left the railway where the South Downs Way crossed it around Exton and went up Old Winchester Hill. It was just after reaching the top that john told me he had to get back for 1130 but at least he began to go faster in order to finish earlier. We could really have done with doing 15 miles as we should be putting some miles into our legs right now.
Saturday 18th- 4 mile run with Tilly. I actually felt quite good considering yesterday.
Sunday 19th-4 Mile run to work and i'll be running home this evening which will make 8 miles today.
Total Training for the week- 33 miles running and some cycling. About 8hours in total.

Introduction- WHY?
Hi folks
Ok. I am Mr Technophobe so I don't know how i have created my own Blogging account. Any way I have done it for what i think are some good reasons:
1) Family and friends can see what we are up to;
2) I intend to also open a "Just Giving" account so that we can get people to contribute online. To this end I shall post a link to the account when I've opened it.
3) Instead of e-mailing each of you individually about where we should be with our training or organisation of events, I can post it on here so you can see what's what.
4) To let the other team members know what we have done.
